The 22nd International ACM SIGACCESS Conference on Computers and Accessibility
ASSETS 2020 is going Virtual (April 29th, 2020):
After much deliberation and discussion, we have decided not to hold the conference physically in Athens this year, and to move to a fully online format instead. At this point, there is much uncertainty about whether it will be possible or safe to travel before or during the conference. Furthermore, we do not believe that it will be socially responsible to promote a significant gathering of people from all around the world this October. While we are very disappointed, we hope that in taking this decision now, we can all plan our participation more confidently.
For a lot of us, ASSETS is a yearly highlight, made not only of scientific presentations and Q&A, but also of social gatherings, lively discussions, and opportunities to make new and reunite with long-time friends. Making the decision to move to a virtual format now allows us to put all our efforts into designing an ASSETS format that provides a welcoming and engaging environment, and best supports all these valued qualities. It will also allow us to continue to step up the standards of accessible computing and aim to be a beacon for accessible virtual conferencing.
The technical paper track welcomes submissions until May 7th, after which other tracks will follow. Papers will still be published on the ACM Digital Library. We welcome your best research.

The ASSETS conference is the premier forum for presenting research on the design, evaluation, use, and education related to computing for people with disabilities and older adults. We invite high-quality original submissions on topics relevant to computing and accessibility.
ASSETS has expanded its scope to include original high-quality research on topics related to education of computing accessibility.
All contributions are peer-reviewed by an international Program Committee. Accepted papers and the abstracts for posters and demonstrations, experience reports, and the student research competition will be archived in the ACM Digital Library. Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers to a special issue of the ACM Transactions on Accessible Computing (TACCESS).
